The Polish Society for Crystal Growth (PSCG) is now accepting applications for the PSCG Science Award for outstanding scientific (doctoral) dissertations on the growth and characterization of bulk crystals, thin films and low dimensional structures. Only dissertations defended in calendar years 2016, 2017 and 2018 are eligible. Applications can be submitted by doctoral course supervisors, heads of Institutes and deans of University Faculties. Applications should be addressed to the President of the Board of the PSCG or to the Chairman of the Jury of PSCG Science Awards. Each application should contain:
- a copy of the dissertation,
- opinion by the doctoral course supervisor,
- list of publications,
- photocopies of the applicant’s papers published in journals from the Master Journal List.
Traditionally, the Award winners are invited to deliver a lecture at a conference organized by the Polish Society for Crystal Growth and receive a Diploma of Achievement.
The PSCG Award is a Science Award offered once every three years for the best doctoral dissertations on the growth and characterization of bulk crystals, thin films and low dimensional structures. It is for utmost importance for us to promote interesting doctoral dissertations that address issues of interest for the Polish Society for Crystal Growth.
